What happens on a painting job?

A paint job lasts as long as the prep under it.

  1. 1

    Look and plan

We walk the rooms or the outside with you, check the surfaces and talk through colours and timing.

  2. 2

    Protect and prep

Floors and furniture are covered, holes and cracks filled, and loose or chalky paint cleaned off.

  3. 3

    Paint

Edges are cut in by hand and walls get even coats, so the colour looks right in Colorado's bright light.

  4. 4

    Clean up and walk through

Tape and covers come off, the site is cleaned, and we walk through the finished work with you.

  • Surface condition

Patching, scraping, sanding and priming before paint goes on.

  • Colour changes

Big colour changes and dark-to-light can take an extra coat.

Questions homeowners ask

Straight answers to what people ask before a paint job.

Where do you work?

Denver and the surrounding metro. If you're not sure we cover your area, call and ask.

How do I get an estimate?

Call (720) 707-5056 and tell us about the job. We'll set a time to come and look, then give you a clear price.

Do you paint inside and outside?

Yes. Interior walls, ceilings, trim and doors, and exterior siding, trim, fascia, porches and doors.

Why does exterior paint fail so fast here?

At Denver's altitude the sun is strong, the air is dry and winters freeze and thaw. Paint chalks, wood shrinks and water gets into gaps. Good prep, caulking and the right exterior paint make the finish last much longer.

Can you fix small holes and cracks before you paint?

Yes, the small ones: nail holes, dings and small drywall patches are filled and primed so the new paint looks even. Bigger damage is a job for another trade, and we'll tell you if that's what we see.

Do I need to choose colours first?

No. Tell us what you like and we'll talk it through when we come to look.

Ready for fresh paint?

Call Gabe at (720) 707-5056, or send a few details and we'll set a time to look at the job.
